Katia Follesa torna a parlare della fine della relazione con Angelo Pisani
During an interview on Supernova, the podcast of Alessandro Cattelan, Katia Follesa shares her thoughts on her recent separation from her long-term partner and colleague, Angelo Pisani. The news of their split was announced in April, following a series of interviews in which Follesa hinted at a breakup. Since then, there have been no official statements from the couple.
The interview, which aired on February 12, is part of a larger conversation about Follesa's career and personal life, including her recent separation from Pisani. The two were together for nearly 20 years and have a daughter, Agata, born in 2010.
Follesa explains that the couple's decision to part ways was motivated by their failure to communicate and their growing apart:
“We were a couple who took care of each other, but we forgot about being a couple at a certain point. This ‘we' that therapists talk about. We didn't want to hurt each other, so we kept things to ourselves. In the end, this thing burst out. He's a wonderful person, but very polemical, precise.”
According to Follesa, the lack of open communication and confrontation ultimately led to their decision to end their relationship:
“He wouldn't develop his arguments, he wouldn't show his anger. Discussions never escalated, maybe a little more passion would have been helpful.”
Despite no longer being a couple, the two continue to support each other in their professional endeavors, having shared a stage and writing together for years:
“When we were together, we would discuss our ideas and write together. Now, when someone proposes something, since he knows me and he's a very talented comedian, I always call him first. I always need his approval.”
Follesa and Pisani are widely recognized as one of the most iconic duos in Italian comedy, known for their stand-up shows, TV series, and sitcoms. They have also co-authored a book, “Diciamoci tutto (al massimo ci lasciamo),” which details their personal and professional lives.

However, they have never gotten married, with Pisani once commenting, “We've grown up together, we've become partners, and we're parents. Our bond goes beyond marriage.”

“Some people have separate bedrooms, and we have separate apartments. By the time we're talking, one of us needs a break. We're not ending a story, but rather a new chapter. We've discussed this with our daughter, Agata, explaining that our daily routine won't change, but this new dimension will be added.”
In the Supernova podcast, Follesa reveals that the couple had actually been separated twice, with the second separation resulting in the end of their relationship. However, the first break was kept private, with the couple not publicly acknowledging it.
