Viaggio nell'apocalisse sanitaria a Gaza e in Palestina: “L'IDF impedisce che arrivino aiuti e cibo”
Dopo quasi un anno dall'inizio dell'offensiva israeliana a Gaza, iniziata dopo il 7 ottobre, la situazione nella Striscia assume i contorni di un'apocalisse sanitaria. Manca tutto, anche le minime condizioni igienico sanitarie, mentre dopo il primo caso di poliomenite è stata decisa la vaccinazione di 600 mila bambini e adolescenti, a cui dopo settimane di trattative ha acconsentito anche l'esercito israeliano. Ma la quotidianità ci parla di blocchi continui degli aiuti umanitari e sanitari diretti a Gaza, ciò che entra è sufficiente per appena il 20% della popolazione. Intanto sono frequenti gli assalti dei coloni israeliani ai carichi di aiuti, le stesse attività mediche vengono ostacolate tutti i giorni. Fanpage.it, nell'ambito di una serie di contenuti realizzati in Palestina, ha incontrato nella sede centrale di Ramallah i medici di Palestinian Medical Relif Society, tra le più importanti organizzazioni umanitarie palestinesi che non ha mai smesso di operare a Gaza dopo il 7 ottobre, con i sui team medico sanitari. A loro abbiamo chiesto di raccontarci la situazione sul campo.

so the the need what is entering Gaza right now is not more than 20% of the need because Israel doesn't allow uh to uh enter and of course like like attacking settlers attacking the the the the healthcare providers and the mobile clinic teams because we have about 80,000 injured people 80,000 2,000 or 3,000 or more are in need of immediate [Music] transfer you know the primary healthare our we have 45 teams in Gaza uh injured yes damaged houses yes for our staff members one uh or two members they lost their families completely in the health situation in Gaza because Gaza is lacking everything because uh there is no supply for the hospitals and the Primary Health Care the enterance of medications and supplies is very very small so the the need what is entering Gaza right now is not more than 20% of the need because Israel doesn't allow uh to uh enter and in many cases they are prohibited from Crossing this this borders which leave uh people for weeks without any medical medical services and of course like settlers attacking the the the the healthc care providers and the mobile clinic teams uh while they are providing their their services or even like harassing them ER delaying them from reaching the the community this is like we are facing on daily daily basis they don't have enough medications to uh fight uh the infections some children and young people they already subject were subjected to utation full utation of the legs because the infection is attacking the whole leg so in order to prevent this body from being dead okay they amputated the whole legs okay at all and some they die some cases they die because they are not transferred out Gaza to Egypt and other countries they are dying because we have about 80,000 injured people 80,000 2,000 or 3,000 or more are in need of immediate transfer immediate to be treated outside immediate but they are not able to leave G we work on the in health promotion of people in in in local community ities who do not have access to good nutrition good access to to to to Services H water or or even electricity there is no drinkable water in Gaza people buy water the bumps of the water uh which is dealing with the sea water to make it drinkable for the people they stopped working this morning because there is no fuel to run these uh bumps now if if there is no food means that the malnutrition will spread among people especially children and elderly this will reduce reduce the uh ability of the body to fight against bacteria and against infections [Music] the the aim the main aim behind all all this is to destroy the infrastructure of the communities the health system the education weaken the the the the the living condition of of people and make it very difficult to live in in in Palestine wors in the situation pushing people not not to live but to die eventually the children and women and all elderly people are not Fighters so they are killed just like this okay it's a punishment of the people living in Gaza by Kill by killing them you are killing people innocent people this is a genocide this is a genocide but why why you kill children why you kill women why you kill old people why [Music]
